Accommodation
Located next to Ecclesall woods, the home has 17 bedrooms of different sizes, 15 with en-suite facilities. The decoration throughout is of a very high standard. All rooms are equipped with a profiling bed, HD TV, wifi, private telephone, and a range of appropriate furniture. Residents are welcome to bring personal possessions as far as space and safety regulations allow. Pets are usually welcome by arrangement with Matron.
The dining room and conservatory are used every day for those who wish but residents who prefer to stay in their own rooms are welcome to do so. There will always be a member of staff to assist in either case.

A lift provides access to the first floor where our modern accessible bathroom is located.
Catering, Laundry and Housekeeping
In addition to our excellent nursing staff, we have a team of dedicated ancillary staff providing a high standard of catering and housekeeping services.
We have a fine menu of home-cooked food, complemented by sherry or wine at mealtimes and home-made cakes in the afternoon. Residents are welcome to order alternatives to the daily set menu. Hot drinks and snacks are available at all times, day and night, for residents and their visitors.
Our in-house laundry provides a prompt and efficient service.
Medical Services
Our residents are served by Dore and Carterknowle surgery with doctors visiting regularly. Referrals are made to physiotherapy, speech therapy etc. when required.
Other Services
We employ our own hairdresser and a chiropodist visits every six weeks. Aromatherapy and manicures are provided regularly.
Activities
We have a varied programme which individuals can embrace if they wish, together with regular trips out to points of local interest. Weekly activities include armchair exercises, painting, baking, quizzes, craft and music. Visiting entertainers are arranged on a monthly basis.
We have an iPad and a touch screen computer for use by residents. This helps us to encourage areas of personal interest and also allows contact with relatives anywhere in the world using various communication platforms.
All of these services are included in our all inclusive fee.
